Join the Theosophical Society in England

Theosophy reveals the wisdom and core of all religions and philosophies, and our maxim is that there is no religion higher than truth. Theosophy further declares that by exploring our own natures we can come to the inner experience of the truth.

The Theosophical Society in England is a part of the world-wide theosophical movement with its centre in Adyar, India. The Society is dedicated to the comparative study of religion, science and philosophy and the practice of the Art of Self-Realisation. The Society is composed of members of different religious backgrounds who are united in a belief that mankind is a spiritual family and that humanity can have a glorious future through a compassionate and intelligent way of living.

Its Objectives are:

To form a nucleus of the universal brotherhood of humanity without distinction of race, creed, sex, caste or colour.
To encourage the study of comparative religion, philosophy and science.
To investigate unexplained laws of nature and the powers latent in man.

Why become a member of the Theosophical Society?

Talks provided at the Chester Lodge are only possible through the continuation
of the wider organisation of the Theosophical Society. In supporting the Theosophical Society in England you as an individual are given the chance to contribute to this wider organisation and the work it does. You are joining a fellowship of the universal brotherhood and helping to develop the community consciousness on the inner planes and therefore the fellowship of mankind as a spiritual family working toward unity.

You will receive a regular copy of ‘Esoterica’ the quarterly journal of the society and access to a comprehensive occult and esoteric library in London, as well as the opportunity to borrow from the library of the Chester Lodge. There is a yearly summer school where members have the chance to spend a week with like minded people immersed in a wide array of teachings from eastern philosophies to ancient western mystery traditions and the latest findings in science and quantum physics as they relate to our understanding of consciousness, all presented by excellent quality speakers. If you wish to join please speak to someone at one of the meetings in Chester. The cost is £20 annually through the Chester Lodge.
